French terminology for key concepts in virtual reality and related technologies
Also note the superb work of the Office Québécois de la langue française :
Innovations in virtual and augmented reality continue to multiply, as do the possibilities offered by these technologies. Computer-generated images combined with various interfaces now enable immersion in virtual worlds that are sometimes strikingly realistic. And beyond their entertainment applications, these technologies are finding new uses in many other spheres of activity, such as tourism, training, medicine, robotics, industry and architecture.
The Office québécois de la langue française, in partnership with Polytechnique Montréal's Laboratoire de recherche en infographie et réalité virtuelle/augmentée (LIRV) and the Centre en imagerie numérique et médias interactifs (CIMMI), provides French terminology for key concepts in virtual reality and related technologies.
